J J The Jet Plane leads hopes in Golden Jubilee

The Royal Ascot meeting concludes on Saturday and the main feature is one of the most international fields you will find in horse racing.  Mike De Kock leads the way with J J The Jet Plane, winner of the 2009 Al Quoz Sprint (G3) at Nad Al Sheba.  This will be his second start following a break after his Dubai-based campaign having landed a listed race at Windsor two weeks ago.

Hong Kong’s champion sprinter Sacred Kingdom, recent winner of the KrisFlyer International Sprint offers a massive chance as well having just edged Singapore’s top dasher Rocket Man in May.  Wesley Ward trainee Cannonball is likely to come on for the run of Tuesday’s King’s Stand Stakes when he was slow into stride but came dashing past horses up the rail to finish sixth, beaten more than five lengths behind Australia’s Scenic Blast.

Godolphin’s chance Diabolical has managed three consecutive strong placings in warmer climes on both dirt and turf and has had some solid runs at Ascot in the past.  A Diabolical victory would give Godolphin their second win of the five day Royal meeting.
