One of the top American trainers will have another entry in the Dubai World Cup (G1) after a year respite when Todd Pletcher sends Take The Points, a multiple Grade 1 winner on turf, for the world’s richest race. Pletcher was last represented in the big race when A.P. Arrow was a credible fourth in 2008 behind Curlin. Take The Points landed the Jamaica (G1) and Secretariat (G1) in 2009 and was most recently first past the post in the 2010 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap (G1) but disqualified to fifth for interference in the stretch.
